Here comes the Bride!

Please don't forget to comment on the give away below you have until tomorrow night at 12 to enter!!!!

Here are the pics from the surprise Bridal Shower we hosted a few weeks ago...I went with the Movie theme "Bollywood" to be more specific and it all turned out great!
I found this huge film strip banner which we had running across the wall and I placed different movie posters in every other one. We also had fun silver stars hanging from the ceiling.

Here is the table set up with all the appetizers we went with fun movie snacks like popcorn, nachos, and if you were in India then mouth watering pani puri!

I also set up a scrapbook table for all her friends to create a page to commemerate the day making it easy for her to put together the scrapbook later since she had some predone pages. This was definitely a big hit with all the guests.

Our guest of honor was most definitely surprised in fact she even got scared at first! Her friends decided to all wear black tops and jeans so for her I picked out a white top to make her stand out. Across the white top I bought silver glitter letters and ironed on "DULHAN" which is the hindi word for bride. I added red rhinestone accents on the side to go with the red tank top I bough to go underneath. Red is the traditional wedding color for us. Here she is in all her fun bridal finery, we also got a boa and check out that diamond ring on her hand! (That was my favorite part because it had a light in it that would blink when you turned it on) She also had a fun tiara not pictured here.

After we all chowed down the yummy appetizers we played a round of bollywood trivia, followed by the bubble gum game for the bride. We finished up with a game of bollywood bingo and then some dancing :). The prizes given out were gift cards to AMC movie theatres and I packaged them up in a fun tin box with a bow on top.

I forgot to snag pictures of the favors but they were handmade CD cases, including a romantinc hindi movie and a CD of the latest romantic Hindi songs. The backside was covered in a fun paper and the front had a 3x3 Image with a small picture of her and the date. I added on a scrapbook flower for fun! Here is a pic of the original sample I made...

All in all everyone had a good time and I think for a weeks planning it went really well!
