Too MUCH to do NOT enough Time!

This probably wasn't the best time to start a blog considering that I am super busy at work and in the middle of planning a wedding!! Anyhow I have tons of ideas floating around in my head and NO time to actually follow them through! This is something I put together for Jay with all the details from the day we got engaged :) I created the Master Card front and Back in photoshop and resized and edited all the pictures in photoshop also.

Here are pictures of it all together, it's actually the size of a credit card. I also made a little pouch for it which jay fondly calls his "man pouch" :)

NY Collage

Since I've had a busy week and my computer from home isn't connecting to the internet haven't had much time to post this week....This is a collage I made for my fiancee's birthday since his is originally from NY and loves it so much I wanted him to have a little peice of it in our new home....(I know I know it's not the same!) The pictures are all taken by me on one of our trips to the city....I love the splashes of color on the otherwise all black and white!

Mini Album in a Tin

This was the second part of my sister-in-laws birthday gift....It's a miniature mint tin that I stole from my brother to put this together.....
At first I thought about painting it or adding paper over it but then I just decided to go with the Las Vegas Theme.... The cover says "This family is always a sure bet" and the rest of the pictures fan out like a hand of cards with all the family on them....The back of the pictures are scanned in images of actual playing cards....I used the King, Queen, and Jack of hearts....I cut both sides out and glues them together and then used a round corner punch to make the edges....I used eyelets to make sure the holes in the corners were secure and then tied together with a fun ribbon....

I got so into it that I even decorated the inside of the box :) All the pictures and images were resized in photoshop...

Card Organizer

This was part of my sister-in-laws birthday gift this year.....since she keeps all the card that the kiddies give her I thought it would be nice for her to have a way to organize them....I used the brown mailing envelopes with clasps and covered them with paper.....each one has some sort of tag or tab that she can write the year or little notes on and a fun little word like "remember" or "cherish" etc.

For the cover I used cardboard off of one of my paper pads cut an inch each way bigger then the envelopes and covered it with paper....

I then hole punched the edges and tied together with ribbon so that she can open it and more envelopes later if she needs too!

Centerpieces

Last night I finally sorted all our engagement pictures and put them in an album. Now all that's left is to scrap them....36 pages front and back oy! I have a lot of fun projects to upload but couldn't find my USB wire yesterday so I'll post this....

These were the centerpieces from our engagement and I absolutely loved them! Although they were a huge pain in the butt to make between my mom, me, and my aunt we got them done....and they turned out exactly how I imagined them too! Plus they matched my outfit perfectly....I think that's one of my favorite things about Indian decor, clothes, etc. the beautiful bright colors! The hardest part about these was stringing the beads on and stitching them to the ribbon that took the majority of the time we spent on them.

P.S. I did find my USB wire sitting on the dining table as I ran out of the house this morning so hopefully I'll be able to update some things tonight!

Mini Albums

Lately I've really been into creating mini albums, when you only have a few pictures it's a great way to put them together in a special way. A few weeks ago my cousin got engaged and I wanted to put together something really quick for him and his fiancee so I created this:
I figured it would be fairly easy this way just resize the pictures add in my little notes and print, but of course nothing is that easy! An hour before we had to go see them I printed the pictures to find that they were too big! Since there was no way to even trim them down to the size I needed with the help of my cousin we were able to whip this together in 30 minutes! The album itself only has about 8 pictures from the proposal with a few words printed and a few embellishments on each picture. The whole thing reads "A boy, A girl, A feeling, A question, and A ring make for one very happy ending!
