For someone who barely ever uses makeup I REALLY love to play with it! Especially eye makeup....So here are my top beauty picks from Sephora this year! These would be perfect for stocking stuffers for any glamour girl :)
This Givenchy Couture Makeup Palette :because I LOVE LOVE LOVE the trendy bag and the purpely shades inside. Getting ready for a fun night out is super easy with this at your finger tips.
Smashbox Gift of Glow : because baby or no baby every girl deserves to glow....The satin ouch is adorable and I like that it's perfect for an everyday neutral look.
The Stila Smoky Eye Talking Palette : this talks you through getting those perfect smoky eyes....for someone that might be a little makeup challenged but still loves to use it this is perfection :)
Pop Beauty Eye Cake : This is the one for green eyes, but they have them for every color. These are fun combos that make your eyes pop!
The Lash Stash : I spent a long time trying to find the perfect mascara, this is a perfect way to get to try out a bunch and not feel bad for wasting money on something you'll only use once

Signature Scent

I was never a huge perfume person...that probably had something to do with the fact that my mom gets massive headaches when she is around someone that has used too much perfume or cologne. Not kidding we have to RUN through the perfume section at Macy's because she just cannot handle it. To still smell nice without giving my mom a huge headache I stayed away from perfumes and stuck with body sprays. Mostly Enchanted Apple from Victoria Secret not too strong but still yummy to smell!

Then I started alternating between these two Sweet Pea and Dream from Gap. Dream bordered a little more on the perfumey side but it smelled so great and is still one of my favorite scents to date.

All of this was up until I heard of Connexion by Lancome, my aunt works for Lancome so I asked her to keep an eye out for when it came in. I'll admit it was the purple bottle that drew me to it but once she got it for me I gave up everything else for this perfume, it was a mix of magnolia, blackberry, and vanilla (one of my favorite smells). Unfortunately it was only really being sold abroad and we were lucky she even got the few bottles that she could. I've seen a few times at the perfume stores but I am always wary with those places and prefer to get it direct from the company.
For our first Valentines Jay bought be Romance by Ralph Lauren, this is a pretty popular scent from what I have heard. This is a mix of fresh rose, ginger, marigold, violet, oakmoss and musk and was a little stronger then what I am used to but it definitely grew on me.

On our second Valentines he bought me Versace Bright Crystal which I absolutely LOVED. It has more of a flowery scent to it and is made up of magnolia, iced accord, yuzu, musk, pomegranate, acajou, peony, plant amber, lotus flowers. Unfortunately the pump on it broke and I don't know how to get the rest of the perfume out!Currently I am using Realities which was a wedding gift from the hubby and I thing besides Connexion this is my favorite to date. It has a really light smell to it not overpowering at all but just enough to make your presence known. Thanks to the lady at the perfume counter for suggesting this one :) It is a blend of Mirror Orchid, Vanilla, Magic Lantern Orchid, Musk, White Ginger, Bergamot, Pink Peonies, Persian Violet, Sandalwood, Gardenia. Maybe for me the trick is having that bit of Vanilla!
I also want to get Lacoste Touch of Pink which is a mix of Coriander Leaf, Touch of Vanilla, Blood Orange, Cardamom seed, Cardamom, Musks, Jasmine, Carrot seed, Violet Leaf, and Sandalwood. See what I mean about the Vanilla? This scent is a little more casual then the others but still yummy!

What are your favorite scents? Or do you have a signature one that you always use?

It's an addiction!

So I have blogged about this before but it really is the best thing ever and I am hopelessly addicted to these C.O. Bigelow lip glosses! I currently have 4 in my bag (2 are on their last leg) and I still got suckered into buying 3 more! They are buy 2 get 1 free over at Bath and Body works and I can't stress what a great product it is especially in the winter months! If you ladies need a new lip gloss I suggest you try these out.....

If you want some color there are these:
If you just prefer clear this one is awesome and so REFRESHING! It's literally like chewing a piece of gum or brushing your teeth and leaves your lips with a tingly feeling!

While I haven't worn glittery lip glosses in years and I don't really like ginger I just got this one for the holidays....The flavor isn't too strong and the sparkles are super subtle!

So if you are near a Bath & Body works definitely stop in and try these out...Let me know what you think :)

I can't take credit for the photos they are from the pioneer woman.

Maybe she's born with it....

Maybe it's makeup....After a quick stop in Sephora this weekend Jay and I started talking about how girls really have the upper hand....See if we're tired, or pale, or feeling a little under the weather with a few quick flourishes we can look like a million bucks! Guys don't have that option and what you see is what you get! So here are some of my favorites....

For Daily Wear:

This is the best concealer I have used by far! As long as I remember not to rub my eyes all day and take it off!

It's a little ridiculous how much of this lipgloss I own but it's awesome!! I love the minty taste and it keeps my lips super soft!! I currently have the following four tubes floating around in my purse...

This Bronzer is perfect to add a little color to my super light skin....

For Fun:

MAC Fluidline Eyeliner

I have it in Blitz & Glitz, Rich Ground, and Macroviolet....I find applying eyeliner with a brush makes it a lot less likely for me to come out looking like a raccoon!! I have really big eyes....
MAC Mineral Eyeshadow

not in this color but some fun ones they had out last year....
and lastly this Mascara: (something about the British Accent on the commercials just makes you want you want to buy them!)

Since I am normally pretty minimal when it comes to my makeup unless it is a special occassion or I happen to have a little time in the morning ( I normally NEVER have time in the morning) I picked up this set of brushes which is pretty cheap but works well and is compact for easy pack-up.....
I also have the angeled eyeliner brush that makes applying eyeliner a breeze....
So what's in your bag of tricks??
